Firyal Silêman Xalid
#Firyal Silêman Xalid# kämpfte unter dem Namen Zelal Zagros über drei Jahrzehnte für die Freiheit von Frauen und des kurdischen Volkes. Der tödliche Anschlag in #Kerkûk# wird den kurdischen Frauenbefreiungskampf nicht aufhalten können.
Der türkische Staat verübt systematisch Attentate auf kurdische Revolutionärinnen. Zuletzt wurde am Donnerstag Firyal Silêman Xalid auf offener Straße vor einer Schule in Kerkûk erschossen. Die 1975 in #Amûdê# geborene Kurdin nannte sich innerhalb der Befreiungsbewegung Zelal Zagros und kämpfte über drei Jahrzehnte ununterbrochen für die Freiheit von Frauen und ihres Volkes.

Die kurdische Bewegung lernte sie Anfang der 1990er Jahre in Rojava kennen. Sie war 15 Jahre bei der Guerilla in den Bergen und arbeitete danach acht Jahre lang in der kurdischen Gesellschaft in Armenien. Im Zuge der Revolution von Rojava kehrte sie in ihre Geburtsregion zurück, um sich am Aufbau basisdemokratischer Strukturen zu beteiligen. In Tirbespiyê brachte sie bei der Gründung von Kommunen und Räten ihre Erfahrungen ein und trug zur Stärkung gleichberechtigter Beziehungen zwischen den kurdischen, arabischen und christlichen Bevölkerungsgruppen bei.

Als der IS in Nordsyrien einfiel, war sie eine der mutigen Frauen, die sich den Islamisten bewaffnet entgegenstellten. Nach der Befreiung von Minbic im Jahr 2016 setzte sie sich für die Entstehung einer zivilen Selbstverwaltung ein, an der bis heute alle Teile des multiethnischen Bevölkerungsmosaiks beteiligt sind. Anfang 2018 kam sie nach Deir ez-Zor und setzte ihr Engagement für die Geschwisterlichkeit der Völker unter schwierigen und gefährlichen Bedingungen fort. Danach arbeitete sie in Damaskus, um die dort lebenden Kurdinnen und Kurden zu organisieren und Verbindungen zu anderen Frauenbewegungen aufzubauen. Dabei legte sie besonderen Wert auf die Bildungsarbeit mit Araberinnen und allen Frauen in Syrien.

Zuletzt hielt sie sich für die Frauenbewegung in Südkurdistan auf, wo sie am 18. Januar ermordet wurde. Der tödliche Anschlag in Kerkûk war ein weiterer Versuch, den kurdischen Frauenbefreiungskampf mit allen Mitteln zu unterdrücken. Zelal Zagros war auch eine Weggefährtin von Evîn Goyî (Emine Kara), die am 23. Dezember 2022 in Paris erschossen wurde.

Die Gemeinschaft der Frauen Kurdistans (KJK) hat in einer Erklärung darauf hingewiesen, dass seit dem Attentat auf Sakine Cansız (Sara), Fidan Doğan (Rojbîn) und Leyla Şaylemez (Ronahî) am 9. Januar 2013 in Paris in Nord-, Süd- und Westkurdistan dutzende kurdische Revolutionärinnen, Politikerinnen und Aktivistinnen ermordet worden sind: „Der türkische Staat agiert wie ein Mördernetzwerk, um das von kurdischen Frauen erreichte Niveau des Kampfes zu schwächen. Er geht davon aus, dass er Frauen und Kurden durch Massaker vom Freiheitskampf und Widerstand abbringen kann. Die Widerstandspraxis der Kurdinnen der vergangenen fünf Jahrzehnte zeigt jedoch, dass dies ein großer Irrtum ist. Jedes Massaker und jeder Angriff hat den Willen der kurdischen Frauen gestärkt und ihre Entschlossenheit bekräftigt, ihren Platz in den Reihen des revolutionären Kampfes beizubehalten.“[1]
