Die Familienangehörigen kranker Gefangener protestieren in Amed
Die Familienangehörigen kranker Gefangener protestieren in Amed für deren umgehende Freilassung. Sie erklären: „Wir werden bis zum Ende an der Seite unserer Kinder stehen und die Rechte der Gefangenen verteidigen.
Seit 249 Tagen findet vor dem D-Typ Gefängnis in Amed (tr. Diyarbakır) eine Mahnwache der Angehörigen von kranken Gefangenen und von solchen, die aufgrund fehlender Reueerklärungen nicht freigelassen werden, statt. Die Aktion wird von vielen zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen und Parteien wie der HDP und DBP unterstützt. Die Schwester des schwer kranken Gefangenen Hamdüsena Ada, Reşahat Ada, erklärte auf der Mahnwache am Dienstag: „Das Unrecht geht weiter. Wir wollen nicht mehr, dass Leichen aus den Gefängnissen kommen. Wir sagen noch einmal, dass wir die Rechte unserer Kinder und unserer Gefangenen bis zum letzten Blutstropfen verteidigen werden.“
Yesure Tufan, die Mutter des Gefangenen Aziz Tufan, sagte: „Wir wollen, dass die Isolation beendet wird. Wenn es in der Türkei Recht und Gesetz gäbe, würden wir hier nicht seit neun Monaten nach Gerechtigkeit suchen müssen.“
Die Kundgebung endete unter der Parole „Es lebe der Gefängniswiderstand“ und lautstarken Forderungen nach Recht und Gerechtigkeit.

Immer wieder tote Gefangene

Erst am 24. Juli kam der 25-Jährige Mehmet Yılmaz im Gefängnis von Urfa-Eyyübiye ums Leben. Er soll sich getötet haben. Drei Tage zuvor kam der ebenfalls 25-jährige politische Gefangene Kadri Ekici unter verdächtigen Umständen in seiner Zelle im Gefängnis Diyarbakır Nr. 2 ums Leben. Seine Familie berichtet von Gewalt und Drohungen gegen den Gefangenen und geht von einer extralegalen Hinrichtung aus.
Nach Angaben des Menschenrechtsvereins IHD starben zwischen 2021 und 2022 87 Gefangene in türkischen Gefängnissen. Der IHD gab an, dass es sich bei 17 dieser Fälle um „verdächtige Todesfälle“ handelte. Auch bei vielen der übrigen Gefangenen wurde der Tod durch Haftbedingungen herbeigeführt. So handelte es sich bei etlichen dieser verstorbenen Gefangenen um todkranke Menschen, die auch in ihren letzten Stunden nicht entlassen wurden.[1]
