Ahmadi Chani

Ahmadi Chani, auch Ahmed-i Hani oder Ehmedi Xani geschrieben, war ein kurdischer Schriftsteller Gelehrter [faqih] und Dichter Anfang des 18. Jh. n.Chr.
Er wurde im Jahr 1650/51 n.Chr. in dem Dorf Han (daher sein Name Chani) bei Çukurca in der heutigen türkischen Provinz Hakkari geboren und gehörte zum Volksstamm der Chani (Xani). Sein Vater hieß Scheich Ilya, seine Mutter Gulnigar.
Er bereiste die unterschiedlichen Regionen seines Heimatgebietes, besuchte viele Madrasen und lebte lange Zeit im Fürstentum Botan. In Syrien lernte er über die alten griechischen Philosophen und im Iran islamische Philosophie, Astronomie und islamische Rechtswissenschaft. Auch hat er die Pilgerfahrt [hadsch] vollzogen und Ägypten besucht.
Er sprach Kurdisch, Persisch und Arabisch. Er schrieb 1683 ein Kinderwörterbuch in Reimform mit dem Titel Nubihar. Das Buch gilt als erste kurdische Fibel für Kinder. Es umfasst 950 arabische Begriffe und deren Bedeutung in kurdischer Sprache.
Sein berühmtestes Werk ist die Erzählung Mem u Zin, eine Liebesgeschichte aus dem Jahre 1692. Die Erzählung umfasst 2655 Verse. Darüber hinaus enthält es eine Beschreibung der kurdischen Gesellschaft des 17. Jh. n.Chr. Daneben hat er auch Werke über Astronomie, islamische Rechtswissenschaft und Geschichte geschrieben.
Bei der Grundsteinlegung zum Ishak-Pascha-Palast (İshak Paşa Sarayı) soll er die Bittgebete gesprochen haben. Sein Freund Mir Mihemed Pir Bela soll dabei gewesen sein.
Zuweilen wird er als Begründer des kurdischen Nationalismus betrachtet, was er selbst aber nie angestrebt hat. Er hat sich aber immer gegen die sozioökonomische Rückständigkeit der Kurden gewandt. Er sah die Spaltung der Gesellschaft stets als Grund für die Unterdrückung und setzte sich für Einheit ein.
Er starb im Jahre 1707 n.Chr. und wurde im eigenen nach ihm benannten Ahmadi Chani Komplex nahe dem Ishak-Pascha-Palast (İshak Paşa Sarayı) beigesetzt.[1]
