Di sala 1972'an de jî di pirtûkaFolklore and Folklife: An Introduction de wek Destpêk cih digire. Di vê “destpêk”a çapa 1972'an de hem saheya “folklor”ê dide nasîn û hem jî teoriyên folklorê ji ya 1963'an berfirehtir pêşkêşî xwendevanan dike.
Di vê wergera di deste we de, min her du çapê vê xebatê li ber çavan girt û min cih da “destpêk”a çapa 1963'an. Her weha min çapa 1972'an jî tevî danasîna saheya folklorê wergerand. Bi vî awayî min xwest xwendekar û lêkolînerên folklora kurdî ji fikren folklornasekî navdar ê Amerîkî, Dorson, haydar bibin. Ji vî aliyî ve wek “sentez”eke her du versiyonên xebatê xuya dike. Hêvî dikim ku ev ji bo xwendekar û lêkolînerên folklora kurdî bibe çavkaniyeke baş û di heman demê riya wergerên din ên “teorîk” veke.[1]
