He was born in 1938 in Halabja, South Kurdistan, where he completed his primary and secondary education. In 1957, he entered the Baghdad Institute of Fine Arts and graduated from the painting department.
In the year 1961, he started teaching art in primary and secondary schools and at the Institute of Fine Arts in Sulaymaniyah. Later, he became the supervisor of the ceramics department in the handicraft center in Sulaymaniyah.
The artist's most detailed work is the smallest pot in the world, which once attracted the attention of the whole world. He has participated in several international exhibitions, most notably the exhibition of miniature works in Montpellier, France. It attracted the attention of guests and the world's media.
In the years 1987, 1988, and 1989, he participated in the Montpellier/French International Minator Exhibition, but, he was supposed to participate for the fourth time, but did not participate due to the political situation in Iraq in 1990.
He has participated in several collective exhibitions in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Baghdad.
These are some of the exhibitions that he has attended: Sulaymaniyah Artists Exhibition, First Kurdish Art Festival in Baghdad 1974, General Exhibition of Kurdish Artists 1976 Erbil, Babylon Festival 1987, First Special Exhibition 1987 Baghdad, Private exhibition in 1986 in Rashid Hall. In 1986, he participated in the general exhibition of Kurdish artists in Erbil. In 1989, he participated in the private exhibition in Ruwaq Hall/Baghdad, In 1989, he participated in the exhibition of detailed works in Baghdad Hall with artists: Ismail Khayat, Himat Mohammed Ali, Burhan Sabir, Namiq Ali Qadir.[1]
