Marduk Kurdistani, 1877 AD - 1975 AD).
The Kurdish historian (Marduk Kordestani) was born in the village of (Kashtar) in the city of (Kamiaran) in the Kurdistan province of Sanandaj (Sanandaj), in 1877 AD.
He was a contemporary of the Qajai and Pahlavi periods of rule over eastern Kurdistan, and he was the imam of the Sunnah in eastern Kurdistan.He witnessed and participated in many of the historical, political and social events that took place during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries AD in eastern Kurdistan. And he is the son of (Sheikh Abd al-Mu’min Marduk), His full name is (Jamal Al-Din) Ibn (Sheikh Muhammad Mardukh) Ibn (Sheikh Abd al-Mu’min Mardukh), And his title (Ayatollah Muhammad Marduk Kurdistani), In the year 1889 A.D., the father of the Kurdish historian and Islamic scholar (Marduk Kurdistani), who was (Sheikh Muhammad Marduk) who was a Friday imam in the city of Sunna (Sanandaj), passed away. Marduk Kurdistani became a Friday imam for the city of Sunna (Sanandaj), when he was twelve years old, succeeding his father. His knowledge of Arabic and English allowed him to learn about the cultural and economic developments that took place at the end of the nineteenth century AD. In the year 1907 AD, he participated in issuing the first newspaper in the history of the city of Sinna (Sanandaj), and the letters of the newspaper were written by hand. And in the year 1931 AD, he, along with other intellectuals, brought the first (printing machine) to the city of Sinna (Sanandaj).He has published and translated many books, with the total number of his published and unpublished works amounting to about 115 volumes of books. He published about sixty books and treatises, but his most important and most famous book is (The History of Marduk), which is an important historical reference on the history of the Kurds and modern Kurdistan. The Kurdish historian (Marduk Kordestani) died in the year 1975 AD, at the age of 98,
His body was buried in the village of Newere, a few kilometers west of the Kurdish city of Sanandaj.[1] [2]
