His name is Mahmoud, and he is the son of Mufti Haji Mullah Amini, son of the great Mufti Haji Mullah Ahmadi Chawmar, who became known as Pir Hassan. He was the son of Mullah Mahmoud Delezhayi Pir Hassan son of Mullah Ahmadi Delezhayi who died in 1206 AH. He was the son of Mullah Mohammed Delezhayi, who was known as the Great Mullah and died in 1173 in Delezha. He had a large school in Delezha and was a contemporary of Sheikh Reza of Delezha.
Mullah Mahmoud Pir Hassani, son of Mullah Mohammed the Great, studied with the famous scholar Ibn al-Hajj of Jeshanayi. After receiving permission, he opened a large school in Delezha. After the construction of Sulaymaniyah in 1784, he went there and taught together with Sheikh Ma'roof Nodeyi in the Great Mosque of Sulaymaniyah. They were apparently jurist with Ibn al-Hajj together.
He had three sons: Mullah Hassan, Mullah Hussein, and Mullah Ahmad. He sent Mullah Hussein to Marga in Pzhdar, left Mullah Hussein in Delezha and took Mullah Ahmadi with him to Sulaymaniyah. Thus, it has spread its scientific wings over these regions of Kurdistan. He died in 1239 AH.
Mullah Ahmad, son of Mullah Mahmoud Pir Hassani, who was known as Chawmar, studied with his father, Sheikh Maroof Node, Mullah Abdullah Rash, known as Mullah Rash and Sheikh al-Islam of the Babans. He received permission from Sheikh Marouf Node. He taught in the Mufti Mosque, which he built himself, near the entrance to the present Sulaimani Palace, and had a large school. Now the school and Mullah Ahmad's house are the hotels and shops of Haji Brahim Agha. Famous scholars such as Mullah Penjweni, Mufti Zahawi and Sheikh Ahmad Faiz studied with him. In 1255 AH he became the chief of the teachers of Sulaymaniyah, and in 1279 AH he was given the rank of mufti. He died in Rajab 1288 AH in the Hijaz.
After the death of Chawmar, his son Haji Mullah Amini succeeded him. In 1303, he became the governor of Sulaimani. In 1307 AH, he became the mufti and was awarded the Majidi medal. He died in 1315 AH. He has many valuable writings.[1]
After Haji Mullah Amin, his eldest son Mullah Abdul Aziz became the Mufti of Sulaymaniyah. Because of this scientific position, he was appointed a member of the Ottoman Scientific Society, and was awarded the Majidi Medal. He was also appointed president of the Sulaimani Education Council and the Islamic Sheikh's Office in the Ottoman Empire He was in Istanbul, and because of his scientific position, the officials of the Islamic Sheikhdom tried to bring him closer to them. In 1320 AH, he was appointed Mufti of Adrna, but he refused.
When the British occupied Sulaymaniyah, the Mufti fought them fiercely. Therefore, they treated him harshly and took away all the commands he had been given.
After the establishment of the local government, the Mufti continued to fulfill his religious duties to serve Islam and Muslims, and was once the president of the branch of the Islamic Guidance Society in Sulaimani.
