He was born in 1968 in #Bana#, the Eastern part of Kurdistan. He was a Peshmerga of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (HDP) from 1980 to 1996. He has been living in Australia since 1997. He was one of the founders of Hawar magazine in Australia, which published 12 issues. He was the director and presenter of Kurdish Radio South Australia for nearly two years. In 2009, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of South Australia. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in the same field.[1]
