Sasan Osman Auni Habib, also known as Sasan Auni, was born in 1970 in Koya, #Erbil# province. He is the son of a poet. He has published eight books written by himself and translated and writes political articles and articles for magazines.
Sasan Auni was elected as a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) at the 13th congress. He was the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Board of Mass and Professional Organizations until he became the Minister of Municipalities and Tourism in the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government.

- Between 1993 and 1998, he was the first secretary of the Kurdistan Students Union after the uprising.
- Between 1999 and 2004, he was the elected administrator of the second branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
- From 1999 to 2010, he held several party and organizational positions.
- Since 2010, he has been a member of the leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).
- Between 2011-2017, he was in charge of the Board of Mass Organizations of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and between 2017-2019, he was in charge of the Board of Mass and Professional Organizations of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).
- On July 10, 2019, he was sworn in as Minister of Municipalities and Tourism in the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
- Fluent in Kurdish (mother tongue), Arabic and English.
- Cultural works and published works:
- He has published eight books in the fields of history, thought and politics, organizational work, constantly wrote political and organizational articles in newspapers and supervised the publication of a cultural and literary magazine.
- He had the idea and implementation of the project to publish the works of young writers, through which several young writers have benefited and their books have been published and then their books have been introduced in a special ceremony.

He was the supervisor of the publication of the magazine (Astera) which he published alone. Astera was a cultural and literary magazine, published by the University Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Students and Youth Union, in 1993 in Erbil.
