Lawyer and politician Kakamin Mustafa Amin, also known as Kakamin Najjar, joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in 1979 and the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces in 1983. In 2010, he was elected as a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) at the 13th congress and as a member of the political bureau at the first meeting of the leadership council. He holds the Barzani Medal.
Kakamin Najjar was born in 1966 in Erbil. In 2004, he received a bachelor's degree in law from Salahaddin University, Erbil. He is fluent in Kurdish, Arabic and Persian.
$Career$
He joined the KDP in 1979 and the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces in 1983. In 1987, he was in charge of the Rwandz area of the second branch committee. In 1988, he moved to Iran as a refugee after the Anfal campaign.
In 1991, he participated in the liberation of Erbil and Kirkuk as a commander in the South Kurdistan uprising. In 1992, he was in charge of the Kurdistan Front in Soran township and deputy chief of staff of the Kurdistan Joint Army. In 1994, he became the commander of the second army of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).
In 2010, he was elected as a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) at the 13th congress and as a member of the political bureau at the first meeting of the leadership council.
In 2010, he was awarded the Immortal Barzani Medal by President Massoud Barzani for his activities in the May Revolution and the uprising in South Kurdistan.[1]
