Sheikh Bazni Clan
Is one of the Kurdish clans, and according to the genealogical tree of this clan, they descend from Hassan Agha bin Mahmoud Agha bin Haj Hamzah bin Mulla Abbas, and they are the descendants of Sheikh Bazni, The naming of this clan, and according to the transmitted narrations, there was a person who lived in the Zab region, and his name was Bazin, and he was an ascetic and owner of dignities, and one day the bandits attacked his house and robbed his house’s belongings, but this sheikh struck his stick on the ground and prayed against the bandits, and during that swarms of wasps came out from the ground And they attacked the bandits, so the bandits left the stolen things and ran away, so people called him Sheikh Bazin, Historians differed about the original home of this clan. Some say that the original home of this clan is Bahdinan, and others say Botan. In 1919, their number in Iraq was 4,000 families and In Iraq, they live in Kirkuk, Erbil, Koysanjak, Amadiyah, Aqrah and Baghdad, This clan has rebelled many times against the rulers, and therefore they have been exiled and displaced many times, A section of this clan lives in Shiraz and Khorramabad, and they have close relations with the Failis, During the time of Sultan Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi, a large part of them came to Aleppo, and In the Mamluk era, this clan and the Sheikhan clan were guarding the borders of Aleppo And a part of this clan live in the Hayman area in Ankara, as well as they are present in more than 30 Turkish provinces, We also encounter people from this clan in Aleppo, Egypt, #Jordan#, Damascus and #Palestine#.[1] [2]
