• He joined the Kurdistan Liberation Movement in 1986 and was a member of the armed forces in the city during the 1991 spring uprising.
• In 1993, he became a member of the High Organizing Committee of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Erbil.
• In 1995, he was promoted to the rank of member of the headquarters.
• In 1995, he was transferred to the Human Rights Bureau of the PUK and became a member of the committee.
• In 1996, he became the head of the Human Rights Committee in Erbil.
• In 1998, he became a member of the Human Rights Bureau of the PUK.
• In 2006, he was transferred to the Organizational Bureau of the PUK.
