Jawdat Shakir Ali was born on 21-10-1946 in Erbil, South Kurdistan.
Their family consists of five brothers and six sisters.
After completing his primary and secondary education in 1964-1965, he was employed as a teacher in Mergasur, Barzan, Sareshma and Tarjan. Then he was transferred to Erbil Schools Activities department where he worked as an artistic supervisor.
In the summer of 1975, he successfully completed the music course at the Baghdad Institute of Fine Arts within two months. His first participation as a musician in the theater was with the (Teachers' House Music Band) under the supervision of teacher (Ziadin Qasab).
He got married on #01-06-1966# and had six sons and two daughters.
During his career he was a member of several groups including: Teachers Union Group, Erbil Schools Activity Group, Erbil Arts Group, National Arts Group. He was also a member of the board of directors of the Erbil Arts Troupe and the executive board of the Artists Union. He was also a member of the Iraqi and Kurdistan Artists Union. He has traveled abroad with the national arts troupe to Germany, the Soviet Union, Austria, France and Switzerland. Jawdat Shakir has prepared and recorded 23 television programs for 50 Turkmen singers. He has composed two tableaux for national arts called Loshuano and Sanjane.
He was in charge of the administrative and artistic department of the Directorate of Music Arts and at the same time participated in all its activities, including the training of the Erbil Children's Band.
He died on 24-04-2021 due to an illness.[1]
