Siamak Yasmi was born in Tehran in 1925, he is a famous director in Iran and he is the son of Rashid Yasmi. Siamak had studied law at the University of Toulouse, France, but founded the Purya Film Studio in Tehran and worked in cinema for 23 years. His efforts resulted in 33 films, including Lily and the Madman, Written in the Sky, Dragon's Crack, Dalahou, and Young Qarun. Siamak died of cancer in Tehran in 1994. Siamak was also a poet and his collection of poems was published seven years after his death.[1]
