دارا بیگ یکی از شخصیت‌های شاخص و شناختە شدەی عراق و کردستان و مخصوصا مناطق گرمیان (کرکوک، خانقین، دوزخورماتو و داقوق) بودە است کە توانستە است بە عنوان کردی فعال و دلسوز در مساءل سیاسی عراق از جملە انجمن نواب و پارلمان این کشور، نقش ماثر و بەسزایی داشتە باشد.
دارا بیگ پسر محمد باقر بیگ پسر اسماعیل بیگ پسر ابراهیم بیگ پسر اسماعیل بیگ پسر محمد بیگ پسر حقی بیگ، جد بزرگ سران کرد قبیله داودە (داودی) در دوزخورماتو و داقوق میباشد.
این شخصیت تاریخی و سیاسی، رئیس قبیله داودە کرد و والی داقوق و دوزخورماتو و همه شهرها و روستاها و زمین‌های متعلق به دو شهر بودە است.
دارا بیگ در سال 1891 میلادی به دنیا آمدە است. او یکی از مهمترین شخصیت های کرد در نیمه اول قرن بیستم در استان کرکوک (گرمیان) و برادر بزرگتر (رفعت بیگ الداودی) رهبر قیام 1920 در دوزخورماتو علیه اشغالگری بریتانیا بودە است.
دارا بیگ یکی از کردهایی بود که در تشکیل دولت عراق شرکت کرد و در سال 1924 به نمایندگی از کرکوک در دوره های ششم، نهم، دهم و یازدهم نماینده مجلس عراق شد.
دارا بیگ در سال 1924 به عضویت شورای قانون اساسی عراق انتخاب شد و سپس به نمایندگی از فرماندار کرکوک در جلسات ششم، نهم، دهم و یازدهم پارلمان عراق حضور یافت.
دارا بیگ در سال 1956 درگذشتە است و قبر وی در کاخ او (#کاخ دارا بیگ#) واقع در روستای دارا، دشت هفتسر، شهر داقوق در نزدیکی کرکوک قرار دارد.[1][2]
