He was born in 1974 in Gritk village of Balakayety area of Erbil province.
In 1996, he graduated from the College of Management and Economics, Salahaddin University, Erbil.
He left Kurdistan in 2002 and settled in Canada.
He has been working as a journalist for 15 years and is a member of the World Federation of Journalists and the Kurdistan Union of Journalists.
He was previously Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rudaw.
He is currently the president of Kurdistan 24 tv.
He speaks Arabic and English.[1]
