All the Azeri administrative officials in the city, who were remnants of the Qajar rule and served the Pahlavi rule, were also arrested and imprisoned. The rebels also took control of the north of Khuzestan province, which is inhabited by the Bakhtiari tribe. Then the rebels headed towards the city of Isfahan and took control of parts of the city of Isfahan as well. The forces of (Reza Shah Pahlavi) moved towards the Lorestan region, and launched an attack from all directions on the rebels, but they were defeated by the Kurdish Bakhtiari rebels led by (Ali Mardan Khan), The revolutionaries were able to capture many soldiers and officers of the Pahlavi forces, and they were transferred to the city of (Shahr Kurd).
