He was born on the 21st of March (Newroz) in the year 1928 in Mahabad. In 1942, the Kurdistan Revival Society (Zhe Kaf) was formed in Mahabad. Dr. Sayed Obaidullah Ayyubian, who was 14 years old at the time, and his brother Mohammad Ayyubian were among the founders of the association and also among the youngest members of the association.
Dr. Sayyed Obaidullah Ayyubian, as a sensitive figure to the Kurdish issue in the present era, was very concerned about the experience of the Kurdistan Regional Government. He traveled to Erbil and met with the then Kurdistan Regional Government President Massoud Barzani.
Dr. Sayyed Obaidullah Ayyubian published dozens of books, articles and literary researches during his years of work and service. One of the most important characteristics of this personality was the preservation of cultural authenticity in Kurdish language, writing and speech, his unchanging political position, and his special Kurdish clothing.
Dr. Sayyed Obaidullah Ayyubian's published works include Mam w Zin in both Kurdish and Persian (277 pages) and The Role of the Hero of the East Sultan Salahaddin Abubi in the Front of History (183 pages) published in Tehran.
He passed away on Saturday, August 28, at the age of 82 in Mahabad.[1]
