He was born in 1967 in Sulaymaniyah, South Kurdistan. He completed his primary education in Tanjaro school and then went to Goyzha secondary school in Tui Malik. In 1982, he entered the Sulaymaniyah Institute of Fine Arts. Because he graduated in first place in sculpture, he was admitted to the Baghdad Academy of Fine Arts. Here, too, he passed the sculpture department with a high grade. In 1991, he was offered many high educational positions by the Ba'ath regime on condition that he did not return to Kurdistan. However, he returned to Sulaymaniyah that year and became a teacher of sculpture at the Institute of Fine Arts.
