I was born on 01-07-1967 in Kamalan village of Arbat district [Sulaymaniyah province]. From the beginning of my childhood, we left the countryside and moved to the city.
I started my struggle in 1982 at the age of fifteen in the organizations of PASOK. In 1983, I was arrested in an activity by Asoy Qumri. I was released in the same month.
After that arrest, I fought in the city and the mountains together. In 1984, I was coming down from Suren Mountain when I was ambushed by the PUK forces. I was imprisoned in Sharbazher and released after a few months.
Because of my activities, I became the head of the Martyr Bestun cell. I was in charge of seven people. In 1985, we were arrested by the Iraqi government and tried. I was sentenced to life imprisonment under Article 157 of the Iraqi Penal Code. I was released on 14-09-1988. I was drafted into the Iraqi army until 1991. I participated in the Gulf War. Then I fled the war and hid myself.
Like any Kurdish individual, I participated in the uprising of 1991. At the beginning of the uprising, I was the commander of the detachment. Later, I was in charge of mechanics in the leadership of PASOK. I was trusted by Martyr Col. Karim.
I was a member of the PASOK congress held in Qala Chwalan in 1991 and then I participated in the unification congress in Erbil. I was not invited to the Great Unity Congress with the PDK.
In 1994, I was imprisoned during the civil war by the PUK forces and released on bail for two months. In 1997, I was imprisoned again for three months and released in the same way. In 1998, I was arrested for the last time. I was imprisoned for three months and released later.
After my release, I wrote a 260-page book called Memoirs of Prison, named after my three children [in Kurdis], but only about the prisons of the former regime.
In 1999, I tried to work with foreign organizations. I worked with them for eight years. I attended various courses and received about five certificates in community development and a certificate in photography.
In 2007, my promissory note expired and I returned to my previous job. Now I am a mechanic. I write little in newspapers from time to time, but I am always engaged in cultural awareness and helping young people for national awareness and development.[1]
