Jihan Ara was born in the year1858 in the Pawa area, she is the daughter of Mullah Nashaat of Pawa. She was born into an aristocratic family. She studied under the guidance of her father and other teachers and paid attention to the Arabic language.
Like every other girl, she spent her childhood and teenage years in her father's house. Sayyid Tahir Hashemi mentions Jihan ara’s name respectfully and mentions Jihan Ara as one of the scholars of Pawa. He says that regarding her beauty he was beautiful and unique in beauty and she wrote beautiful poetry.
Jihan Ara was still young when Hama Beg Wakil fell in love with her. He proposed to marry her but Jihan refused and did not marry him. She later married to Ali Akbar Khan of Ardalani, who was her cousin from his father’s side.
After a short while and in the year 1880, Ali Akbar Khan was summoned to Tehran by Nasreddin Shah of Qajar and he was appointed as the governor of Azerbaijan. Then in this happiness, this man Ali Akbar Khan of Ardalani forgets Jihan Ara and marries a daughter of the Qajar princes, and due to this reason, he sends a divorce letter to Jihan Ara. It does not take a long time and Soon, Jihan Ara marries again and she married Habibullah Khan, the chief of the Jaff tribe of Babajani. She had several children from him and lived as a housewife.
This poet woman died in the year 1911 in Jwanro and was buried there.[1]
