He was born in Warte town of #Rawandz# in #Erbil# province. He was born in 1967. He joined the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in 1983. In 1986, he joined the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces in PUK the Baranti Brigade. He was later transferred to the 78th Karokh Brigade, where he became an organizing cadre.
In 1988-1989 he became a guerrilla within the 78th Karokh Guerrilla Unit. In 1989-1991, he was transferred to the central media of the the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), which was then headquartered in Saqiz, East Kurdistan.
1992-1996 Worked in the administration of the Political Bureau of the the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) as a personal responsible. 1993-1996 Worked in the political department of the Kurdistan New newspaper and has dozens of local, regional and international political articles in Kurdistan New, Rojname, Aso, Hawlati, Awena, Sako (Berlin), Peshhat, Al-Ittihad and several other magazines and other newspapers.
In 1996 he moved to Germany and settled in Henf, North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2006, he returned to Kurdistan and now works as an expert in the Kurdistan Parliament. He is a member of the Kurdistan Union of Journalists and the founding committee of Kurdistan Electronic Journalists. Within the PUK, he is an advisor to the Central Media Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).
Azad Warti is a writer and journalist. He is also an expert in computers and dynamic web applications. He owns his own website which is called werti.net. In addition to his mother tongue, he can write, read and speak Arabic, Persian, German and English. He is married and has five children, four daughters and a son.
