Eyüp Güven was born in 1963 in Dêrika Çîyayê Mazî (Derik) in Mêrdîn (#Mardin)#. He began his studies in the Department of French Language at Dicle University in 1979, but could not finish because of the military coup d’état in 1980. In 1990, he began doing research on his own. His first work was published in 2008. He worked intermittently as a member and manager for Kurdish cultural and art. He is currently one of the executives of the Kurdish Writers’ Association and a member of its Mardin branch. Güven lives in Derik.
