He was born in 1954 in Waraz village of Sharbazher township. He moved to Chawarta township at the age of five. He completed his primary education there and secondary education in Sulaymaniyah.
He graduated from agricultural high school in Sulaymaniyah. He was fond of reading and loved art since childhood.
He graduated from agricultural high school in 1973 and began his artistic career in theater and calligraphy.
In 1970 and 1971, he served as a founding member of two theater troupes.
1- Theater troupe of Kurdish Arts and Literature Association in 1970.
2- Theater troupe of Bakrajo Agricultural High School from 1971 to 1974.
In 1969, through his friendship with the late Salih Dilkhosh, a comedian and calligrapher, who was the brother of Omar Dilkhosh and Ali Dilkhosh, he became interested in calligraphy.
All paintings of Chawarta township, Mamosteyan neighborhood and Majid Beg of Sulaymaniyah in the 1970s; 1980; 1990 written by his hand and finger. He also had a calligraphy shop in Chawarta and Sulaymaniyah. He worked as a calligrapher for several books and magazines.
He started his painting career in 1975. He opened his first and second solo exhibitions in 1979 and 1980 in Chawarta township. He opened eight solo exhibitions and several joint exhibitions with artists from Sulaymaniyah and Kurdistan. He has created covers and motifs for dozens of books and poetry books of poets and magazines. He has created several political and social cartoons for many magazines and newspapers, especially Rebazi Azadi, Rasti, Dangi Lawan, Kharman and many others.
Since 1980, he has published more than 200 articles on social, artistic, literary, cultural, scientific, cosmic, poetry, etc. in magazines and newspapers. He has also prepared more than 250 agricultural radio programs. He wrote and prepared most of the articles on the Voice of Kurdistan (Gali Kurdistan) Radio, a weekly program sponsored by the World Food Program (FAO).
He has published six books, most of which are translations from Arabic, including the famous French novel The Baker's Woman, Tolstoy's Unknown Pages of Life, Charles Dickens's A Tale of Two Cities, his own novel The Kingdom of the Black Forest, Translation of a book of poetry by poet Ali Ma'roof Bahrawardi into Arabic, translation of a book of poetry by Azad Mami into Arabic, translation of a book of poet Abdulqadir Saeed into Arabic that is ready for publication.
He was a member of the Kurdish Writers Union, Sulaymaniyah Branch
He was a member of the Sulaymaniyah Artists Union
He was a member of Kurdish Culture and Folklore Association
He was a member of the founding committee of Sharbazher Intellectual Center and a member of the editorial board of Sharbazher magazine
In 1980, he was a member of the editorial board of the magazine Dengi Lawan, which published 20 issues in Sulaymaniyah.
He played an active role in publishing the monthly newspaper Kharman, which was published by the Executive Bureau of the Kurdistan Farmers Union in the 2000s.
Every year he played a significant role in organizing the Newroz celebration in Sulaymaniyah, which is organized by the Kurdish Culture and Folklore Association in Mamayara Hill. His latest literary work is a novel written during the coronavirus.
He passed away on 26-07-2020 at 10:00 am after a long struggle with coronavirus.[1]
