Margaret Shello is the first female peshmerga who joined Kurdish freedom struggle in 1960. She fought both for the rights of Kurds and Assyrians. We، Kurds with such a great respect consider her the symbol of freedom and unity of Kurds and Assyrians. We are delighted to gesture this very special martried sister-comrade and respect her forever.
