He was born on #01-11-1923# in the city of #Kermanshah# in the Eastern part of Kurdistan. At the age of six, he moved with his family to the capital Tehran. He had a great love for theater since childhood. He began his career as an actor, writer and director at the age of 20.
From the age of 40 to 50, he starred in 50 films. At the age of 48, he left Iran for the United States, where he returned after 10 years to Iran. In the year 1972, he was elected a member of the Iranian Film Union. In the year 2011, he devoted himself to writing several books on the history of Iranian theater and the history of the city of Tehran.
In the year 2012, he was awarded the First Class Symbol of Culture and Arts Award by the then President of the republic. He attended the College of Business and Economics. Although he was an employee of the Ministry of Finance, his love for art led him to work also as an actor alongside his job as an employee.
He has starred in several films. He has participated in several international films, theaters and festivals. And he has several printed books. He passed away on Sunday #25-08-2009# at the age of 96 due to cancer.[1]
