He was born in 1952 In 1973, he graduated from the Department of Geography and Photography at the University of Utrecht At the same time, he made his first photographic trip to Kurdistan. He has made about 10 trips and taken more than 1000 photographs in different parts of the Kurdistan Region.[1]
