He was born in 1944 in Chuarbagh neighborhood of Sulaymaniyah.
In 1964 he was selected for Sulaymaniyah club and national team.
In the same year he made his debut for Sulaymaniyah club with Baghdad Electricity Club in Sulaymaniyah Local Administration Stadium
Ali Latif was a football, basketball, track and volleyball player, then became the coach of Sulaymaniyah club and national team in football and basketball, then became a first-class referee in football and basketball.
Alongside sports, he was a well-known figure in the art of painting and opened several exhibitions in Europe, Japan, Canada and many other countries. He died on 18-07-2009 [1]
