On Thursday, the 3rd International Caricature Forum was launched in #Slemani# under the supervision of the Seven Colors Center and with the cooperation and sponsorship of the Kurdistani Nwe newspaper, the Office of Democratic Organizations of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Karim Alka Organization, and Sardam Foundation.
About the forum, artist Handren Khoshnaw said that the idea of the forum came when in 2017, 15 cartoonists opened a joint exhibition under the supervision of the Seven Colors Center, during which extensive discussions were held to hold the forum annually in Slemani.
The 3rd International Caricature Forum will continue until August 8, he added, noting that the first forum discussed the water crisis, and the second forum was on peace, while this forum is about the late poet #Sherko Bekas# as August 4 coincides with the 9th anniversary of Bekas's death.
He also indicated that 140 cartoonists from 34 countries presented their products to the forum, stressing that a special international committee selected only 69 works.[1]
