Kazhal Ahmad was born on #30-07-1967# in Kirkuk, Southern Kurdistan. At the age of 5, she moved with her family to Sulaymaniyah. His father is one of the Sheikhs of the Barzinji tribe.
From 1986 she began writing. And between 1992 and 2008 she has worked in many branches of the media and journalism, such as radios, newspapers, magazines, and television.
At the beginning of the 1991 revolution, she presented the Martyrs (Kurdish: شەهیدان) program on Sulaymaniyah radio.
From 1992 till 1994 she was a writer for the newspaper Flag of Freedom (Kurdish: ئاڵای ئازادی).
In 1995 she became a member of the writers committee for the newspaper New Kurdistan (Kurdish: کوردستانی نوێ), where she worked for 14 years and rose to the position of editor-in-chief.
She was the first female reporter of war, and her works are in the archives of many of the TV channels and newspapers.
She presented 3 programs on Kurdsat TV; هەر ژنێک، لە هەر باخێ ژنێک ، دژە باو which continued from 2001 to 2008.
She has published the following works of poetry and writing:

2. Sayings of Saying (وتەکانی وتن): work of poetry released in 1999.
3. A Coffee with Him (قاوەیەک لەگەڵ ئەودا): work of poetry released in 1999.
4. I Broke the Mirror (ئاوێنەکەم شکاند): work of poetry released in 2004.
5. Essentials of Kazhal Ahmad released in 2006 (دیوانی کەژاڵ ئەحمەد).
6. Book of Women (کتێبی ژن): collection of speeches and research released in 2014.

2. Qehweyek ligel Wi: A poetry book translated to Kurmanji dialect by Dilsha yousif and printed in Istanbul.
3. Kajal Ahmad Poems: a poetry book translated to English by Choman Hardi, and printed in 2008 in London.
4. Handful of Salt: translated to English in 2016 by Kazhal herself, and printed in USA.[1]
