Almas Khan Kandolayi
He was a poet and army commander of Nader Shah Afshar who wrote the story of the mouse and the cat in two parts. Sarhang Almas Khani Kandulaei Almas Khan Kandulaei was born in 1706 in the village of Kandulaei in Kermanshah. He was a Kurdish poet, epic writer and colonel who lived during the reign of Nader Shah Hawshar (1736-1747) and was a prominent officer in the Ardalan government. Sarhang Almas Khan was the commander of the Sanaa Brigade (Kurdistan Army) of the Nadri Army during the reign of Nader Shah. In the battle between Nader Shaw and the Ottoman forces in the castle of Kirkuk, In 1733, under the command of Topal Osman Pasha, Nadir Shah's army was defeated due to the military mistakes of Almas Khan. Because of this incident, Nader became angry and stripped him of his rank. offspring. Almas Khan then moved to Kandul and settled in isolation and devoted the rest of his life to literature and music. Almas Khan's works include:
1- Khurshid and Kharaman
2- Hawt Lashkar (Seven Armies)
3- Nadernama (War Letter)
4- Shirin and Farhad
He wrote in the Hawrami Kurdish dialect, but his most famous work is the Kurdish epic, which is a collection of stories and epics of heroism and enthusiasm of the people of South East Kurdistan. Almas Khan had contact with his contemporary poet, Mirza Shafi Dinwari, and they had poetry sessions together. Almas Khan passed away between 1776 and 1786. Mirza Shafi wrote a rejuvenation for Almas Khan, which is partly about
Almas Khan, taken from that Mercy. He was buried at the foot of Mount Pirafta near Kandola village of Dinwari district of Sahna.[1]
