Politician Azad Muhammad Najib Muhammad Salim، known as Azad Barwari and Saeed, He joined the Kurdistan Students Union in 1961 and joined the Kurdistan Democratic Party in 1964, At the 9th Congress (1979)، he became a member of the Central Committee. In 1989، he was elected as a member of the Central Committee. In the eleventh congress (1993) and 12th (1999)، he was elected as a member of the central committee and then a member of the political office. In 2010، in the thirteenth congress، he was elected as a member of the leadership council and then a member of the political office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party again. In 2009، he was deputy prime minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government. He's barzani's medal carrier. His family after the second Revolution of Barzan was a refugee in east Kurdistan in 1945. Azad Barwari was born in Mahabad in 1946، and returned to southern Kurdistan with his family in 1947 after the setback of Kurditan Democratic Republic .
He completed high school in #Erbil# . Then he was accepted from the chemistry department of The Science College of Mosul University in 1966 and was expelled to Basra University in southern Iraq because of his political activities by the Iraqi government officials. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Basra in 1972. In the sixth cabinet، he was deputy prime minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government in 2009. He is an expert in Kurdish، Arabic، Persian، English and German.
$Political Struggles$ :
He joined the Kurdistan Students Union in 1961 and joined the Kurdistan Democratic Party in 1964, He was imprisoned in Ramadi prison in western Iraq in 1968 and released in 1970 after the 11 march agreement between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Iraqi government, In 1972، he contacted the Peshmerga forces of September revolution after the failure of the September Revolution، he moved to Iran as a refugee in 1975. He was appointed by Masoud Barzani in 1975 to prepare for the Gulan Revolution، and the same year he was invited by President Masoud Barzani along with four other figures to attend the first meeting of the KDP's interim leadership to continue the resistance. In 1976 in Berlin conference، he was elected as a member of the central committee of the interim leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, In 1977، he participated in a wide-ranging meeting of the interim leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party for reorganizing the Peshmerga forces and restarting its organizations, he was a member of the Interim Leadership Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) among refugees from southern Kurdistan in Iran in 1975. At the 9th Congress (1979)، he became a member of the Central Committee. In 1989، he was elected as a member of the Central Committee.In the eleventh congress (1993) and 12th (1999)، he was elected as a member of the central committee and then a member of the political office In 2010، in the thirteenth congress، he was elected as a member of the leadership council and then a member of the political office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party again. During his work in the ranks of the KDP، he has taken on many duties and responsibilities، including the head of the Committee of the Third and Fourth Branches (1980)، the head of the KDP's relations office in Syria (1981)، the head of the party's regional and national relations office (1993)، the head of the political office and the head of the central organizing office (1996)، the head of the central office of the KDP (2001) and so on. etc. In In the sixth cabinet، he was the vice president of the Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Regional Government in 2009, For his service in the September Revolution، the Gulan Revolution، the uprising of southern Kurdistan، and the sovereignty stage، he was awarded the Immortal Barzani Medal by President Masoud Barzani in 2010.[1]
