He was born in 1952 in Bokan and currently lives in this city. He is a cartoonist and satirical writer. He holds a degree in Persian language and literature. He has collaborated with Iranian, regional and student newspapers for more than three decades. He has participated in several exhibitions inside and outside Iran, including: Western European countries, Far East, Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Tehran, and many others. He has received the honorary degree of the Arts Council of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and several titles in Iran.
He is a cartoon class instructor and has two works, Cartoonists 1 and 2, a caricature book Words and Jokes and has illustrated several books. He was awarded the first prize of the best Kurdish personalities in Iran in the field of cartoons by the jury of the Salahaddin Ayyubi Festival. He is a member of the FICO Cartoon Organization in Tehran and has refereed several provincial competitions in the western region of Iran. He is a Member of the Council of Writers and Artists of Kurdish Culture and Literature Publishing Center (Salahaddin Ayyubi Publishing House), Member of the Arts Council and Arts Development Institute of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
Sayed Yasin Qureshi was one of the founders of Kurdish-style cartoons in Iran. He has translated the text of the play Matarsak written by Bokani theater artist Afshin Nasri into Kurdish. He has also written criticisms on several books of poetry and books of contemporary Kurdish poets. He has also written several screenplays for short films
He has written many beautiful Kurdish and Persian poems.[1]
