Muhammed Amin Zaki Bag
Mohammed Amin Zaki was born in 1880 in Goyzha neighborhood of city of Sulaymaniyah. His parents were illiterate who could not read and write, and owned cattle and caravans.
In 1892 he went to the elementary school in Sulaymaniyah and then to Mullah Aziz school. In 1893 he went to the military school in Sulaymaniyah and after two years he went to the military school in Baghdad. In 1898 he entered the Military College in Istanbul. In 1902 he graduated with the rank of Rais Chak and was employed in the Sixth Ottoman Brigade in Baghdad.
From 1903 to July 1924, he held various ranks in the Ottoman army. Upon his return to Iraq, from 02-02-192502-02-1925 to 15-07-192515-07-1925, he was the commander of the Iraqi Military School.
He retired from his work due to health reasons on 10-02-194210-02-1942.
He died on the night of 09-07-194809-07-1948 in his home city of Sulaymaniyah due to sudden kidney failure.
Amin Zaki Beg was interested in poetry, literature, calligraphy, and painting. He was also very talented in languages and in addition to his native language of Kurdish, he could also speak Arabic, Persian, Turkish, English, German and French.
He has more than 12 books, including some of his works:
1- Accounting of Niabat - 1928 (in which he collected the records of his actions in the House of Representatives)
2- Summary of Kurdistan History translated to Arabic, published in 1931 and 1937
3- Du Taqalla Be Sood published in 1935.
4- History of Sulaymaniyah published in 1939.
5- Famous Kurd Published in 1945 and 1947.
6- History of the Kurdish Country and States published in 1945.[2]
