He was born in 1905 in the village of Naranji in #Mardin#, Northern part of Kurdistan. He completed his primary and secondary education in #Diyarbakir# and other cities of Northern Kurdistan. In 1925, he participated in the revolution of Sheikh Saeed Piran, but because he was a young man, he was not arrested and killed.
With the execution of Sheikh Saeed and his comrades, his national feelings became stronger and he became more politically active. When he realized that he could not fit in Turkey, he and six of her brothers moved to Syria In Damascus, Saida Osman Sabri after the foundation of Hawar magazine by Mir Jaladat Badirkhan on #15-05-1932#, he became the main author of the magazine and wrote many valuable articles on Kurdish writing in Latin. When Kamir Jaladet published another magazine called Roonahi in Damascus in 1942, which continued until 1945, Osman Sabri published articles and poetry in this magazine, this way Osman Sabri was one of the most influential Kurdish writers that developed the Kurdish language and it’s writings in Latin alphabet. In the field of national struggle, Saida Osman founded the Kurdish Democratic Party (KDP) in Syria in 1957 with well-known Kurdish activists such as Nureddin Zaza and other well known Kurdish nationalists, The Emir of Syria was distressed by this policy and several times he arrested Osman Sabri tortured him Osman Sabri was imprisoned 18 times during his political career, including twice in Turkey, twice in Iraq, once in Lebanon and 13 times in Syria.
on 08-08-1960 hiim, Rashid Hamo and Nuraddin Zaza they were ordered to be executed, Kurdish intellectuals in Europe, Iraq and Lebanon submitted memoranda and petitions to Jamal Abdul Nasser demanding his release, as a result after one year of imprisonment he was released on 08-08-1961.
Saida Osman Sabri traveled to all parts of Kurdistan. After coming to Damascus, he joined the Kurdish Xoyiboon Party in 1930. he visited South Kurdistan on behalf of the party and went to Barzan where he met with Mullah Mustafa Barzani He visited South Kurdistan in the name of himself and met several activists there. He did not know the meaning of fatigue in his life and continued to struggle for Kurdish national rights until his last breath.
Osman Sabri, a Kurdish writer, poet and struggler, passed away in Damascus on #10-10-1994# after publishing a series of valuable books in Kurdish and Latin script.
