Bzhar Abdulhakim Anwar Sherwani known as (Bzhar Hakim), was born on #09-09-1982# in Sarbasti district of #Erbil#, he is a writer and a journalist and is a member of Kurdistan Journalist’s Union and is an active member in it, he has worked for many media’s and journal’s in Kurdistan.
He is a member of the International Federation of Journalists, member of the Kurdistan Writer’s Union in Erbil, member of Literature Center and a member of Galawezh Intellectual Center, he has many articles and poets, until now he has 5 published books: The Sound of Words (some Journalism essays) 2010, A Melody of the Stem of Leaf(poem) 2012, The Pomegranate of Poem (poem) 2012, Word and Meaning .
Bzhar Hakim in 2005 he started to work as a weekly news reporter in #Kirkuk#, he continued on his job until 2011.
Later Temporarily he started working for the Newspapers like Kurdistani New, Aso and Pega he has published weekly articles in Pega newspaper and many other Kurdish newspapers and magazines.
for four years he has worked as news anchor in Rudaw media. He is the Director of Newroz Radio of the ministry of culture. Alongside Kurdish he knows Arabic as well. During his job as a journalist he has received many awards including: The young journalist of the year for Paper Journalism in 2008 that was awarded by the ministry of youths and sport of Kurdistan, Award of institute of Language and Journalism in 2010, the award of the best reporter by the Iraqi institute of Journalism in 2011, The second award of The Pomegranate award for Poem 2012, The second place for poem during the 20th Galawezh Festival in 2016.

Bzhar Hakim is from a family that had been Mullahs for a long period they are from the Sherwani tribe, his family had also a great role in the Kurdish fight for his rights against the former Iraqi Regime and fought for this purpose in the PDK in the eighties in Kandenaw and Kirkuk. Mullah Rasool Bzhar Hakim’s grandfather was a famous religious figure in Kandenaw and was the first official judge in Makhmoor. Bzhar Hakim married (Zhyan Jalal) an artist in 2004 and has a son with the (Zhir).
Bzhar has two other brothers with the names Hazhar Hakim and Bayar Hakim that are also journalist and work in media.[1]
